Founder's Notes:
This idea first came to my mind in September 2013 after going through a series of events.
After 10 months of personal trials, studies and reflective thoughts, I have decided to pursue this project.
My initial plan was to attain certification as a Art Therapist but had to disrupt my plans due to financial and societal contraints.
I have gathered a crew of friends who I am sure, would be able to help me with my cause.
None of us here are certified therapists or counsellors but we know a thing or two on how to make you feel better and love yourself more.
I am the sole personel for this project and the rest of them do not serve my brand under any obligation or affiliation.
This is best viewed similar to a Self Help Group.
We want to create an environment that affected persons are not being stigmatised and labelled as patients.
We respect the need to refer cases to professionals for cases as indicated but It really depends if they are willing to seek it.
We provide a channel to express one's inner fears and to integrate them back to society as much as we can in a non hostile and controlled environment.
My first target group were models who were affected by perverted photographers.
They were either acustomed to lewd poses and ridiculous outfits and were conditioned to perform as such.
They are often left traumatised as a result of their interactions and tend to lose trust with photographers, making life difficult even for the passionate ones.
My plan was to correct their perception of modeling and help them regain trust with geniune artists.
I later feel that I should expand my reach, especially to the common people who demonstrated lack of self love or a distorted sense of body image.
Now, after 10 months, I am confident to reach out to more affected people.
I do not wish to be overwhelmed through active advertising of my services.
I do appreciate If word were to be passed by mouth, this will make life easier for all parties involved.
The Photographs as seen from my Portrait section are testimonies of lives that I have touched.
You do not have to act or react to represent beauty. Whatever you have are beautiful in nature and should be embraced.
