Stay Awhile And Listen

Why Sick Photography?

It was originally Intended to be Photography of real sickening stuffs.

Such as, dead carcasses, sickening themes.

Why are my Photos so dark?

This is just my personal style, Dark, Morbid and Sickening.

I will just have to sacrifice the Darkness for a mainstream shoot.

What is my Motivation to keep shooting?

Originally intended to document sickening pictures as such.

I hated the idea of shooting portraits when i started photography.

I later enjoyed shooting portraits because I am good at it.

I enjoy taking challenges set by myself and others and achieving it.

Some Tips And Tricks

How to choose a Camera?

Stick to brands for quality and features purposes.

Choose a brand you think you would like and love it.

I can shoot with any camera you throw at me but i will prefer to shoot with a pro camera,

which emcompasses better ergonomics which are crucial during intense situations.

How to choose lenses?

Always remember what photography means to you.

Choosing a fast lens will not improve the quality of your photos.

If moments matter to you, the good old kit lens will be just fine.

It is not worth to go bankrupt obtaining every single must have lenses out there.

I shoot alot with the trusty NIkkor 24-85mm 3.5-4.5G and the disposable Sigma 70-300mm 4-5.6.

How to improve your photography?

When I started photography in 2011, I shot every single day for the first 90 days.

Trying out concepts as much as I have read from books and the net.

The efforts reaped countless rewards.

When it comes to nature photography, Luck is your best friend.

But real skills comes with Mastery of the Art.

Knowing and understanding the principles of photography,

will equip you with good concepts to tackle almost any situations faced.

Therefore, read the books and the camera Manual!

How to choose a Flash?

A light that comes out from any source, is a light, be it cheap or expensive.

It really depends on how you use these speedlights that are available.

A high powered TTL Speedlight for reliable support during events.

A cheap manual Speedlight with Radio for ultra reliable synchronisation.

I choose Nikon's CLS system.

It is worth every cent over the cheap manual Speedlights.

I only appreciated it's worth after 2 years of dwelling with photography.

Should I shoot for free, to build my portfolio?

It is entirely up to you. Photography is not a job. It's a passion.

A Passion that requires a lot of sacrifices.

And these sacrifices will shape your photographic direction.

If you can pursue a career with Photography, then good for you.

The market is too saturated and polluted by all of us.

Should i shoot Digital or Film?

It is once again entirely up to you.

The reason why I shoot Digital,

is that i appreciate the years of tecnological advancement the Camera has undergone.

Shooting Film might make you sound like a Pro but I will get the pictures published before you.

Should I print my Photos?

I have this healthy habit of printing my photographs.

I print out the best pictures to save cost.

The experience that i get from printing will prepare me to produce shots for publications.
